Seventy-eight years ago, there was a cannon fire by the Lugou Bridge, and the Japanese aggressors launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, which plunged the Chinese people into an unprecedented national disaster. At the critical juncture of life and death, the Chinese people stepped forward and carried on the epic struggle for eight years and won the final victory. 2015 is the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and the victory of the Anti-Fascist War in World War II. Chinese people all over the world have held commemorative activities in various ways. Every Chinese should have an obligation to speak our voice and pay our actions; remember the martyrs and yearn for peace.

Initiated by the Peking University Alumni Association and Tsinghua University Alumni Association in Washington area, the Eight Brothers Alumni Association responded and initiated a fundraising activity to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. Regardless of the number, your support is a participation and support for the commemorative event!

Hosted by the Noah Center in Washington and the American Beijing Chinese Activity Center, and co-organized by Peking University, Tsinghua University, and many alumni associations and societies, the "Eternal Memory---Concert to Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Chinese Anti-Japanese War and the Second World War" will be Held at Strathmore Music Center, Maryland on September 5th, it will be one of the important commemorative events in the Washington area. The concert was attended by mainstream symphony orchestras, famous conductors and soloists from China and the United States, and more than 200 local choruses, which fully demonstrated the importance of the Chinese in Washington on the commemoration of victory in the War of Resistance this year. Your donation will be used for concerts and corresponding commemorative activities. Music is the language of the world. The majestic anti-Japanese songs and the chorus "Ode to Peace" will take you back to the front line of the war of war, never forget the suffering and struggle of the Chinese nation, and express our praise and yearning for peace. .

We will also create a special "commemorative album for the 70th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan." When making a donation, you can also leave the names of your family members and ancestors you miss; write down the stories of their involvement in the Anti-Japanese War or the Anti-Japanese National Salvation Movement, so that their deeds will remain in our memory forever.

Special thanks to China Telecom Americas for generously supporting this event. They will give random gifts to those who donate or leave messages.
