Activity 1 – Hiking at Mary's Rock Trail, Shenandoah Valley

More Info: Trail Rating: Moderate/Difficult in places. Over 1000 feet elevation change. Round Trip Distance: 3.8 Miles from Panorama.

Activity 2 – Picnic Lunch (please bring your own food)
Timeframe: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Location: Trail Entrance (Panorama Parking Lot)
Please bring picnic chairs or blanket if you have any.

Activity 3 – Skyline Drive (driving tour)

Activity 5 - Winery Tour and Wine Tasting
Timeframe: 2:30 PM - 5 PM
Location: Unicorn Winery or Oasis Winery (you can choose either one)

Information: Shenandoah National Park (http://www.nps.gov/shen/) lies astride a beautiful section of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which form the eastern rampart of the Appalachian Mountains between Pennsylvania and Georgia. Skyline Drive (http://www.visitshe nandoah.com/ transportation. shtml), a 105-mile road that winds along the crest of the mountains through the length of the park, provides vistas of the spectacular landscape to east and west. The park holds more than 500 miles of trails, including 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail.

Direction
1) Skyline: To get to Skyline, take 66 West from Washington DC, to exit 43A, Gainesville (US Route 29 south). Follow Route 29 to Warrenton where you take US Route 29 business. Once in town, make a right hand turn on Route 211 which intersects with Skyline Drive at the Thornton Gap Entrance.

2) Mary's Rock Trail: The trailhead is off of Skyline Drive. Park at the Panorama parking lot to the left just after you pass (do not enter) the entrance to Skyline Drive.

3) Luray Caverns: Luray Caverns is 10 minutes from the central entrance to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park, and 15 minutes from I-81 at New Market, Virginia.

4) Unicorn Winery: Head West on I-66 to the Gainesville exit. Go West on Route 29 to the Warrenton exit (Route 29/211). Follow Route 211 West for approximately 7 miles towards Amissville. Make right onto Route 622 (Old Bridge Rd.), Unicorn Winery entrance will be on right.

5) Oasis Winery: Take I-66 West to Exit 27, left at the exit, then an immediate right onto Rt. 647 for 4 miles, right on Rt. 635 for 10 miles, the winery is on the left. Follow the state highway "TOURS" signs.
